Community Description

As an Assisted Living Community, Hegel Home allows for residents to live independently in an apartment-like residence while still having access to assistance with daily living through the preparation of meals, medication administration, light housekeeping duties, and laundry. This is an ideal living situation for seniors who are in the middle ground of not being requiring the more intensive care of a nursing home or CCRC, but still requiring some level of assistance on a daily basis. This type of community is normally less expensive than other types of more intensive care (e.g., memory care). Best of all, Assisted Living communities like Hegel Home can give you the peace of mind in knowing that your loved one is being cared for while maintaining a level of independence.

As a Senior Living Community, Hegel Home is designed for seniors who live independently and are capable of taking care of their basic needs. These communities often include apartments that range in sizes from large two bedroom to smaller dwellings for individuals. In these types of communities, seniors live independently, but may receive some helpful services such as housekeeping, laundry, and transportation. On-site banks, barber and beauty shops, convenience stores, and other amenities are also often provided.

Hegel Home:

Do ñot send a loved one here. My son was here only 2 months. His leg was swollen, when he could no longer walk they took to Hurley, that was a Sunday, he was prescribed a blood thinner, they waited 3 days to get prescribed blood thinner, Wednesday night, after a nurse came and asked to see it, he went without seizure med, had grand mal sent to Hurley, no meds for 4 days, went with supervisor of hegal house, to a psychiatrist meeting, was prescribed a med, 2 weeks later script was still not filled. He was discharged on the 16th, only there 2 months, his last night there was the 16th, on the 15th, threw the 17th, they stole $887 in his food stamps, spent every penny in 3 days, they were only entitled to $400, they spent after he gone, could anybody tell me how anyone could put close to $900 in grocery\'s in one house, no freezer, employees had to use in there own homes, have filed charges with Swartz Creek police. Also state of Michigan have violated them on the medicine issues above. Worker once told me, we don\'t listen to case managers, they don\'t live with them, they don\'t know. They don\'t follow plans, from case managers. I got proof to back up all above claims. After he was discharged his food stamp card reloaded $194 after discharged for him to use the next month, they spent that too. They are liars and theifs, my son went with a pick up truck full of belongings, got back 6 kitchen bags of garbage, clothes for a child, and pants 4 sizes too big. Call if anyone else has information, we are filing a lawsuit, contacting sheriff pickell on stealing from him. 8103088170

The information above is intended as a general guide. We do not check license status for facilities and do not ensure that each property offers all types of care listed. We try to list all senior living companies in a given area, and some may not be licensed in the categories in which they are listed. We strongly urge every consumer to conduct due diligence on facilities they are considering, including but not limited to verifying the license status of a facility, researching inspection reports and complaints, and visiting communities in person.
