Community Description

Dementia Specialists Homecare provides specialized care for seniors with Alzheimer's, Dementia, or significant Memory loss. The physical design of the community provides safeguards for residents who may wander (e.g., circular floor plans), as well as caregivers specially trained to help those suffering from dementia or memory loss.

Dementia Specialists Homecare provides In-Home care. There are two types of in-home care: medical, which is considered "skilled", or non-medical (sometimes called "custodial"), which is for any non-medical support services delivered to a patient's residence. Medical in-home care services provided generally cover any medical care needs such as medication administration, whereas non-medical care services assist with day-to-day living needs (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meals. These services may also cover transportation, keeping up with bills, appointments, or even companionship and emotional support.

Home Care provided by services like Dementia Specialists Homecare are generally available for patient care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Medical services that are provided to the patient or resident can be paid for by the client directly, or through one of the many public or private funding sources like Medicare or Medicaid (in some cases). Make sure you have verified your loved one's Medicare and Medicaid eligibility, and take advantage of long term care insurance for financial assistance towards in-home care costs.

Dementia Specialists Homecare:

The owner lied to my family repeatably and her company was very unreliable and unprofessional. Joanna kept saying she was sorry and going to correct issues but nothing ever changed. After seven months we finally had enough after being misled at least 6 different times. Completely unprofessional.

The information above is intended as a general guide. We do not check license status for facilities and do not ensure that each property offers all types of care listed. We try to list all senior living companies in a given area, and some may not be licensed in the categories in which they are listed. We strongly urge every consumer to conduct due diligence on facilities they are considering, including but not limited to verifying the license status of a facility, researching inspection reports and complaints, and visiting communities in person.
